about 1:30am 1/21/13. bunch of firecrackers were lit on maynard. myself and neighbor across street went outside to see what is going on. two white males (one wearing a white jacket) and one black male (black jacket, pants, shoes and hat) about mid 20s were trying to break into the gas cap on a car on the street. neighbor told them to move along. we both called 911. the three suspects walked slowly down the street. i tagged along moving between car shadows. watched them messing around with a few other cars as they went west on maynard. i had to stop following when got close to street light on summit. suspects went around corner north on indiana. officers arrived at my location and i directed them which way to go. no more activity as of 2:20. still out watching for a bit tonight. not sure if officers caught them. no phone call back either yet
