The same day I left a comment about drivers on Hudson regularly going through the red light at Indianola, it happened again–only this time, a police car was waiting beside me on Indianola. The officer had to jam on his brakes; then I waited while he turned to pursue the offender. I hope we might get some extra enforcement in the area now.

A neighbor’s car had the driver’s side window smashed in this morning on Clinton St. between Indianola and Indiana. Remember to take your valuables in the house with you.

Thank you for posting about the issues at Hudson and Indianola. It is a good reminder for all of us to be watchful at that intersection, especially those of us that are on two wheels. When you see incidents such as these, you can always file an online report after the fact with Columbus Police at https://www.columbus.gov/police-offensetypes/ or you can call the police non-emergency line at 614-645-4545. Please be as descriptive as possible about the vehicle and direction of travel and what the infraction was and time frames (Day of week and time).

In order for police to get a better picture of the problems in the area, they need to have reliable reports to base the needs for service. If you see something, then say something. The more calls the police receive about a problem the better the police can determine where to place officers.
