From one of our residents:
“I was waiting for the bus to work this morning when a young woman (a student, I think) was robbed of her cell phone. I was looking north up Summit when I heard a scream and a thud, and saw an African-American man with a ball cap and a blue jacket running west on Maynard. The woman told me he had grabbed her phone out of her hand and taken off. (I did not see it, as my back was to her.)
I lent her my phone, so she could call 911. She spoke to the dispatcher for three or four minutes. I had to leave to catch my bus to work, but I gave her a piece of paper with my name and numbers (cell and work). The dispatcher said the police were coming.”
